PVA Delta 8 Conformal Coating/Dispensing Machine

The Delta 8 offers a work envelope of 621 × 595 × 101 mm (length × width × Z) when using one valve or tool—sufficient for large boards and moderate-height components.

It delivers repeatability of ±25 microns (0.001″) and positioning resolution down to 5 microns (0.0002″).

Maximum XYZ travel speed is 670 mm/s, with max acceleration of 0.5 g. The gantry system is robust and includes closed-loop feedback for consistency.

Delta 8 supports a variety of applicators: spray valves (e.g., FCS300-ES, FCS300-R/F, FC100-CF), dispense valves (FC100-MC, FCM100, FC300), jetting valves, auger, and progressive cavity valves (VPX-450). Material can be supplied via syringe (1-55 cc), cartridges (6-20 oz), pressure vessels, drums or totes.

Conveyor width can range from 50 mm up to 500 mm. Board clearance top and underside are both 100 mm. Edge clearance is ~4.7 mm. Transport height is between 940-965 mm. Multiple conveyor types supported (flat belt or chain).

Ships with PVA’s PathMaster X® programming environment, which supports offline image import, storing unlimited programs, and custom tool/valve path programming.

Power supply options are 120 V or 220 V, 50-60 Hz. Air supply must be 80 psi, dry and unlubricated. Gantry has brushless DC servo motors, optical encoders, and ball-screw slides.

Ideal for selective conformal coating, potting, bead & meter-mix dispensing tasks, especially in medium to large boards requiring precision and flexibility. Trade-offs include higher footprint and cost vs smaller / simpler benchtop systems; setup for multi-tool or frequent changeovers may require more effort. The large work volume, payload, and throughput are strengths but may be over-spec for simple coating tasks.
