The Yamaha YRi-V AOI features a newly developed inspection head equipped with a high-speed, high-resolution camera, extending existing 12μm and 7μm resolution lenses with a new 5μm resolution lens. High-precision 8-direction 3-D projector offers greater component inspection compatibility thanks to new coaxial lighting, improving measurement accuracy and range by 100% compared to current models and high-precision measurement now possible for up to 25mm in height. Revised conveyors handle more compatible PCB lengths. AI-powered deep learning simplifies, automates and lowers skill requirements for inspection data creation, conversion, tuning, etc. Offers greater detection capability for 0201 size (0.25mm x 0.125mm) components and mirror-glossed components.
YRi-V HS option with advanced laser profiling for LED coplanarity now available.

The YRi-V can inspect PCBs from 50 × 50 mm up to 610 × 610 mm in single-lane mode. There’s also an optional configuration to support longer boards (up to ~750 mm).
It carries PCBs up to 45 mm from the top and 85 mm from the bottom in single-lane mode. The maximum 3D measurement height is 25 mm.
It has a 20-megapixel 4-angle camera, and a high-resolution 5 µm coaxial lighting option (in addition to 7 µm and 12 µm lenses). The 3D inspection speed is 56.8 cm²/s under optimum conditions with the 4-projection, 12 µm resolution configuration.
Thanks to its advanced AI-powered deep learning, the YRi-V improves detection for very small components (0201, i.e. 0.25 × 0.125 mm), and its coaxial lighting plus super high resolution help with mirror-glossed surfaces for better inspectability.
Excluding protrusions, its external dimensions are approximately 1,252 × 1,497 × 1,614 mm, and it weighs around 1,480 kg.
The HS option adds advanced laser profiling for LED coplanarity, improving inspection for LEDs and components where coplanarity is critical.
With its new 5 µm resolution lens, high-precision 8-direction 3D projector, and revised conveyors that support more PCB lengths, the YRi-V essentially doubles measurement accuracy and extends inspection height/range compared to earlier visible setups.
It includes AI-powered deep learning to simplify and automate inspection data creation, conversion, tuning etc. This means operators need less manual effort and expertise to set up reliable inspections.
