SolderStar Delta Probe Oven Verification

The DeltaProbe is an oven verification fixture designed for reflow profiling and process control. It is passed through the reflow oven to capture a “golden profile” of the production process, and then used periodically to detect deviations in conveyor speed, zone set-points or convection levels.

Setup involves three simple steps: (1) establish optimum oven settings by capturing a real product profile, (2) pass the DeltaProbe through the reflow oven to record the baseline “golden” profile, and (3) set tolerance limits around the temperature traces and other process parameters.

The DeltaProbe can detect a wide range of error conditions, including conveyor speed errors, incorrect zone set‐points, changes in convection levels, unauthorized recipe changes, and incorrect oven profile loading.
