Hello, and Welcome to the June Edition of Our Quarterly Newsletter.
We’re now well into 2026, and the pace of innovation in electronics manufacturing and assembly shows no signs of slowing. This edition brings together some of the developments we’ve been following.
The ProteQ VISO, a new release microscope, combines 3D stereo vision and digital imaging in a single system. With livestreaming, teams can share high-clarity images across locations. It has clear applications across electronics, aerospace, biomedical, and more.
Measurement strategy is something many manufacturers are rethinking right now. With pressure mounting to measure faster and more accurately, the bottleneck is often knowing which system actually fits the application, not a shortage of technology. Our guide covers how optical, video, and CMM systems each handle accuracy, repeatability, and throughput.
On the solder paste printing side, Yamaha’s latest developments combine hardware improvements with smarter software.Ā The productivity and quality results are significant. If you missed our recent X-Ray solutions webinar, the full content is also available to download.
Finally, we’ll be at Electronex 2026 in Sydney, and we’d love to see you there. We’re showcasing a physical SMT line model that gives an end-to-end view of how a full turnkey solution comes together. The model itself was built entirely in-house by one of our team members, and we’ve included an article on how it was done for anyone curious about the process.
3D Model: SMT Production Line
It all began in December 2024 when we wanted to showcase a full line of our PCB Production machines at tradeshows but bringing in 20 metres worth of machinery just wasnāt doable, so the idea of a model was born.
The 3D printer ran for nearly 387 hours.
X-Ray Webinar
This webinar is for electronics manufacturers looking for X-ray solutions that improve inspection accuracy, enhance process control, and increase confidence in PCB assembly quality.
We have created this page for you to download some of the content from the webinar, including the main presentation, videos, and Q&A highlights.
First-Time Right Solder Paste Printing
Yamaha has added an automated print-parameter ācoāpilotā to YSUP that helps lines get stable solder paste printing on the first run of every new PCB, with less trial-and-error and dependence on the resident printing process expert.

Vision Engineering ProteQ VISO
For years, inspection teams have worked with a trade-off. A stereo inspection microscope gave true depth, helping users judge fine details and surface form more accurately. A digital stereo microscope made sharing easier, but the image often lost that same sense of depth.
Measurement Strategies For Manufacturing
Modern manufacturing demands more from measurement than ever before. The challenge is no longer about choosing one technology over another, but about orchestrating the right combination of contact, non-contact, optical, and 3D strategies. In this environment, there is no single ‘best’ system, only the strategy that best fits the specific demands of the task.Ā
