The Lynx EVO offers a zoom magnification range from 2.7× up to 240× depending on the objective lens, zoom ratio, and multipliers used. Standard configurations deliver ~ 6×-60× with a 10:1 zoom ratio, but multipliers (1.5× or 2.0×) allow higher magnifications.

Yes. It features an eyepiece-less, patented Dynascope® optical head that allows users to sit back comfortably, wear safety or prescription glasses, avoid eye fatigue, and maintain better posture. The design gives greater head / eye movement freedom, improving comfort over extended use.

Depending on the objective lens:

• At low magnification (e.g. 2.7×), working distance is about 176 mm, with a large field of view (~ 55 mm) for easier manipulation.
• At higher magnifications (e.g. with 2.0× objective plus multiplier), working distance reduces (≈ 29 mm) and field of view narrows (~ 12 mm).

Yes. There are optional still/video camera modules (e.g. Smart Cam / Smart Cam-HD etc.) and software (ViCapture etc.) for image/video capture, annotation, and documentation, which work alongside the optical stereo view so measurement / reporting is easier.

It includes:

• 8-point LED ring light with intensity control and contrast adjustment (via diffuser) for reflected/incident lighting.
• Optional transmitted (substage) illumination for translucent or thin/ perforated materials to allow inspection from below.

Several flexible stand options:

• Ergo stand for small footprint and high magnification stability.
• Multi-axis stand with extended reach / throat depth (≈ 439 mm) for large samples or boards.
• Floating stage accessory for more precise control (ideal for delicate samples).
• Optional 360° rotating viewer head to inspect from angled perspective (approx. 34° angle) to see vertical features without reorienting sample manually.

• At very high magnification (e.g. near 240×), field of view becomes very small, and working distance is short—making sample positioning and lighting more critical.
• The optional features (camera, transmitted illumination, rotating head, larger stands) add cost and footprint; must balance need vs budget.
• As a high-precision optical system, environmental factors like vibration, lighting, and stable work surface affect performance.
• If precise, calibrated dimensional measurement is required, using software / camera + reticle or measurement software is necessary; optical view alone doesn’t give numerical measurement.
