LVC 400 Measuring System

The LVC-400 offers a measuring capacity of 400 × 300 × 200 mm (X × Y × Z) — that is, 400 mm in width, 300 mm in depth, and 200 mm in height.

• For XY measurements, its accuracy is approximately 2.8 + (8L/1000) µm, where L is the length in mm under controlled conditions.
• For Z-axis (height), when using the optional touch probe, accuracy is around 3 + (10L/1000) µm.

• It comes standard with a 5-MP USB3 colour CMOS camera.
• A 6.5:1 motorised zoom lens (7-position) is included.
• Magnification range (on a typical ~25″ monitor) spans approximately ~ 80× to 300× depending on zoom and field-of-view.

The stage can carry up to 25 kg (≈ 55 lbs). This allows for heavy or bulky parts to be measured.

• The LVC-400 features a granite base, which offers superior stiffness and vibration damping.
• The movement is 3-axis CNC (motorised stage in X, Y, and Z), enabling precise automated movement and repeatability.

• Programmable LED ring light (divided into sectors) for flexible lighting around part edges.
• Sub-stage lighting (back-light) is also included for contrast, especially for translucent or thin components.

• It uses M-series / M3 software (Vision Engineering) which enables programmable measurement routines, storing repeatable programmes.
• Supports DXF overlay/import/export, digital overlays, geometric tolerancing, edge detection, simple SPC & Excel export.
• Multiple parts can be loaded and measured in a single program; magnification changes can be built into routines eliminating manual zoom changes.

• While the stage capacity (400×300×200 mm) is large, very large assemblies or parts exceeding that envelope won’t fit.
• High magnification reduces field of view significantly, so for inspecting ultra-fine features over large parts, multiple set-ups or stitching may be required.
• Granite base adds weight (~ 350 kg total) and requires a stable, vibration-free support to get full accuracy.
• Touch probe is optional; for 3D / height features or complex geometries, selecting that option is necessary (adds cost and setup).
