Welcome to the first edition of the Hawker Richardson newsletter for 2022. With a brighter 2022 ahead and manufacturing going from strength-to-strength, we are proud to be partners with so many innovative businesses in Australasia.

We are seeing how businesses are benefitting from reshoring their production, previously outsourced overseas, back to Australia. This, in turn, ensures we are on top of our game at Hawker Richardson, making sure we source the latest technology to support your needs, whether it’s on the SMT line, the assembly line or quality control and inspection.

We are seeing a lot of interest in entry-level solutions which is great to see including the Fritsch entry level SMT products. We are in the process of creating some entry level bundles, so watch this space! In the meantime, have a look at our latest updates below.

Boost Productivity by Automating the Stencil Printer and Solder Paste Process

The screen-printing process is one of the most important parts of the SMT assembly and process manufacturers are faced with handling component types from all different shapes and sizes. This includes the smallest SMD chips to large semiconductors, as well as unusual components like large connectors
that are through-hole mounted.

With the diverse range of components and production of assembly boards involving countless changeovers
per day, the risk of human error is quite high. Automating some of the processes reduces human error, leading to less wastage and/or rework, and
improved product quality.
