Yamaha Intelligent Factory Software (YSUP)

This software provides a “1-stop solution” that links SMT machines from different manufacturers, enabling machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity, real-time monitoring, traceability, and production optimization to overcome information silos in manufacturing.

The software includes several packages: P-Tool (Data Programming), M-Tool (Line Monitoring), S-Tool (Set-Up Navigation), and a larger suite called YSUP, which comprises six areas — Programming & Scheduling, Production Assistance, Monitoring & Analysing, Traceability, M2M Collaboration, and Maintenance.

Yes — it supports creating PCB programs from various CAD formats, offers intuitive data editing with 3D visualisation, and automates component grouping and production sequencing to speed up program preparation.

It provides real-time production analysis using intelligence algorithms, which help define and identify efficiency and quality bottlenecks. Visualised metrics show SMT factory and line conditions so users can respond to issues quickly.

Users can make detailed queries on past assembled products, trace component mounting quality throughout production, and capture data that allows tracking of component grouping, setup changes, and efficiency over time.

It includes “Set Up Navigation” to guide operators through setup tasks, and production assistance features to help manage schedule, sequencing, and reduce human error in line configuration.

Live dashboards and visualised production metrics are provided, including real-time drawing, simplified data conversion, and visual displays of factory/line state, allowing users to see what’s happening at a glance.

The software has a Maintenance package (within YSUP) that collaborates with monitoring features to detect issues early. With traceability and historical product data, it helps schedule preventive maintenance and reduce unplanned downtime.
