The V-Tek TM-50 manual taping machine is a low-cost solution for packaging a full range of devices in 8-72 mm width carrier tape.
Large, small, or difficult to place parts are easy to tape with V-TEK’s TM-50. The microprocessor controlled sealer and stepper motor drive assure precise handling of all taping parameters. Several advance speeds are selectable to accommodate problem parts and to minimise parts jumping. The innovative set up and change-over design allow any taping operator to change over carrier and cover tapes in minutes.

The TM-50 supports carrier tapes from 8 mm up to 72 mm wide. For customers needing wider capability, there is an XL version available.
It supports software-controlled advance (tape pocket pitch) from 2 mm up to 144 mm. This covers most standard and larger parts.
The TM-50 features a dual-stage sealer assembly with heat and PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) sealing. Each side of the cover tape has independently controlled seal temperature to ensure quality sealing without damaging parts.
It requires 120/230 VAC, 50/60 Hz power, and compressed air at around 80 PSI.
The approximate dimensions are Height 15″ (38 cm) × Width 55″ (140 cm) × Depth 20.5″ (52 cm). It’s built to sit on a bench or table.
The TM-50 includes several selectable advance speeds to accommodate parts that are large, small, or awkward, and to minimise part jumping. Its software-controlled firmware lets operators adjust advance parameters for smooth operation.
The machine has an “innovative set up and changeover design” meaning operators can change carrier tape, cover tape and adjust track width quickly. The adjustable track assembly helps for switching between different tape widths with minimal delay.
Options include sensors (e.g. empty pocket detection, low cover tape sensors), vision inspection for verifying orientation/“pin-1” markings, full sensor/peripheral package, and a software package that simplifies operation. These help reduce errors and improve reliability.
