The V-Tek TM-400 series offers a simple and compact automated taping system in a table-top machine. Each of the series options specialises in a particular input—tube, tray, bowl, or open module—for OEM use. A 2D vision over tape verification system ensures components are correctly oriented. Set up is simple via touch screen interface, minimising interaction to ensure fast, dependable and accurate operation.

The TM-400 Series supports several input options including tube input, tray input, open module, or bowl input depending on the model. This gives flexibility depending on how components are supplied.
Minimum part size is about 2 mm × 2 mm (or around size 0805), though precision depends on operator and settings.
It supports carrier tape widths from 8 mm up to 72 mm, and tape pitch from 2 mm to 144 mm.
Throughput is device-dependent but ranges between 2,000 to 3,500 UPH (units per hour). Lower bound for simpler parts, upper for easier handling conditions.
The TM-400 includes a 2D vision-over-tape verification system to check that components are correctly oriented in the tape pockets. It also has sensors for tape cover detection and jams.
It uses a touchscreen operator interface. Advance movement of carrier tape, feed/seal, and other settings are software controlled. The machine is designed for quick setup and minimal operator interaction.
The machine operates on 120/240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, requires air (≈5 SCFM at 85 PSI). It measures approximately 100 cm height × 135 cm width × 90 cm depth and weighs about 98.5 kg (217 lbs).
The TM-400 features a universal adjustable heat and PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) sealer, along with sensors for detecting jams in the tape track and low cover tape. These help avoid misfeeds and ensure consistent taping quality.
