The V-Tek PC-250+ Manual Parts Counter is designed for counting devices in tape and reel, safely and quickly. Parts are handled without kinking or bending the tape. The design of the PC-250+ allows for bi-directional parts counting, subtracting when the direction of the tape travel is reversed. It also provides an excellent quality inspection platform. While counting, each pocket can be checked for proper part placement and tape adhesion.
The PC-250+ Manual Parts Counter is a necessity if you are active in parts inventory management functions.

The unit supports minimum device sizes of 2 mm × 2 mm (about 0805), depending on the operator settings.
It accepts 7″ and 13″ reels with its standard arms, and can support up to 22″ reels when optional extender arms are fitted.
Yes — the PC-250+ supports bi-directional counting, which means that if the tape direction is reversed (e.g. pulling back), the counter subtracts rather than adds. This helps maintain accurate inventory tracking, especially when correcting feed mistakes.
Yes — as tape is counted, each pocket can be visually checked for proper part presence and adhesion to the tape. This “quality inspection platform” helps catch missing or improperly seated components early.
It operates on 120/230 VAC, 50/60 Hz for mains power. It also has a battery option (four AA batteries) for portable use, which is especially useful for counting in locations without convenient mains power.
Dimensions are about 30 cm (height) × 76 cm (width) × 40 cm (depth). Weight is approximately 14.5 lbs (6.4 kg). It has all-metal construction, which improves durability and stability; also includes an ESD attachment point to protect sensitive parts.
Setup is simple — the operator sets the pitch via a three-button interface, using the device size chart. The manual dual hand-crank mechanism allows easy forward/reverse movement without bending or kinking the tape.
It’s ideal for inventory control in SMT lines, counting parts during line setup, verifying reels before production, or in stores/warehouse settings. Whenever parts from reels need counting without damaging the tape, or when accurate stock tracking of parts in reels is required, this tool is very helpful.
