Nutek PCB Laser Marking Machines Cell Series 3 NTM5510-X

The Laser Marking Cell Series 3 is a high-precision, automated PCB marking solution designed to permanently etch text, barcodes, 2D codes, or graphics directly onto printed circuit boards — delivering essential traceability, identification, and quality-control for modern electronics manufacturing. The system uses a 10 W CO₂ laser housed in a Class 1 safety enclosure, with digitally controlled X–Y motion and a PCB clamping + lifting mechanism to maintain a constant focal point and ensure crisp, repeatable marking. It features an adjustable conveyor for different board widths, optional integrated inverting for double-sided marking (for boards requiring marking on both faces), and an air-cooled, fume-extraction design for safe continuous use. Controlled by a Windows-based industrial PC with a 21.5″ LCD interface plus optional camera/ scanner for quality verification, the Laser Marking Cell Series 3 is SMEMA-compatible and built for seamless integration into automated SMT/PCB production lines.

FAQs: Your Nutek PCB Laser Marking Machines Cell Series 3 NTM5510-X Questions Answered

1. What types of markings can the NTM5510-X produce on PCBs?

The machine can mark text, barcodes, 2D codes, and graphics onto PCBs.

2. How does the NTM5510-X maintain accurate marking even if PCB surfaces vary?

It has a PCB lifting system to maintain a constant focal point for the laser, ensuring consistent marking quality even if board thickness or flatness varies.

3. What safety and environmental controls are included?
  • The unit uses a Class 1 laser-protected housing (safe for operators when used properly).
  • It is a 10 W CO₂ (Class 4) laser source.
  • Also includes air cooling and a fume extraction device to manage emissions during marking.
4. What are the usability and software / verification features?
  • Comes with user-friendly software, with an industrial PC and a 21.5″ LCD monitor for control.
  • It has a barcode scanner or camera for readability / verification check after marking.
  • Optional inverting unit for double-sided marking.
5. How does the machine integrate into an SMT production line?
  • It is SMEMA compatible, meaning it can properly communicate/hand off to upstream/downstream line equipment.
  • Includes selectable bypass operation, so marking can be skipped if not needed.
  • Automatic width adjustment conveyor and PCB side clamping ensure boards are securely held and aligned.
6. What are the size, footprint, and weight of the NTM5510-X machine?
  • Dimensions: approximately 850 × 1645 × 1380 mm (L × W × H)
  • Fixed point to front: about 330 mm, useful for planning line layout.
  • Weight: ~ 700 kg.
7. What laser power and marking performance does it use?
  • The laser source is 10 W CO₂, which is fairly powerful for high contrast marking on many PCB substrate types.
  • Marking is done using digitally controlled linear axes for X & Y movements, giving precise positioning.
8. What are the trade-offs or factors to consider before investing in the NTM5510-X?
  • Because it is a fairly large & heavy machine (700 kg), facility floor strength, space, and handling during installation must be considered.
  • Class 4 laser safety implies strict safety procedures, shielding, and possibly operator training / certification.
  • Marking speed and throughput will depend on code complexity, size, and substrate material; highly detailed graphics or dense codes take longer.
  • Maintenance of optical components (laser, lenses, mirrors), extraction/fume system, and cooling are required to maintain marking quality over time.
