The ECO 2000 cleaning system from IMO cleans electronic boards, PCBs, and other small parts. PCB cleaning is essential for bonding and before applying protective coatings to avoid detachment of the coating.
Spray technology on an aqueous basis with neutral or alkaline cleaning agents removes resin, flux and handling residues from assembled PCBs.
Electronic assemblies are cleaned in three steps: cleaning with the alkaline cleaner, several intense rinses with deionised water, and drying with hot air. This ECO 2000 is easy to program with settings for the number, duration, and temperature of cleaning and rinsing.

The ECO 2000 can remove rosin-based fluxes, low-residue (no-clean) fluxes, and water-soluble fluxes. It also handles resin, flux mist, handling residues, and is suitable for cleaning assembled PCBs, small parts, paste–misprints, solder frames, and SMD stencils.
The ECO 2000 can clean PCBs up to 503 × 405 mm in size. It has a capacity of 170 Eurocard-sized boards when loaded with boards of 10 mm height.
It operates in three main steps:
The machine includes a demineralisation cartridge and conductivity monitoring to measure the purity of the final rinse water. Cleaning solutions, rinse parameters, and past cleaning logs can be viewed via the network interface. The last 20 cleaning cycles are retrievable in log form.
