Cab Universal PCB Separators Maestro 3E Series

The Maestro 3E is a manual PCB separator designed for separating pre-scored or pre-milled groove PCBs. It can handle both small and large boards, including those made of FR4 or aluminium.

It uses a circular blade on the component side and a linear (straight) blade on the solder side for clean separation along the groove. The operator manually draws the circular blade across the board to separate it.

Up to 450 mm separation length is supported for the standard model.

• Board thickness: approx. 0.8 mm to 3.2 mm
• Minimum groove/scoring depth: about 0.25 mm after pre-scoring; the material left in the groove must accommodate separation without excessive force.
• Component heights: component side height up to ~ 34 mm, solder side up to ~ 23 mm.

• The clearance/height of the upper blade relative to the linear blade is adjustable using a screw or knob, with a scale. This ensures the PCB is separated only at the pre-scored groove and avoids damage.
• The support table and back rest are adjustable to a comfortable working position for the operator.
• Safety features include earthing connection, protective guards, and compliance with CE / FCC Class A approvals.

• Operating temperature: approx. +5 to +40°C, with humidity between 10-85% non-condensing
• Storage / transport temperature ranges broader, down to -25°C, up to ~ +60°C, humidity in similar ranges but non-condensing.

• Because it is manual, operator fatigue may become an issue when separating large quantities of boards.
• Requires properly pre-scored or milled grooves. Boards without proper groove or irregular cut-outs near the groove can cause poor separation or damage.
• Adjustment of blade clearance and guide positioning is critical; incorrect settings can increase stress on the board edges or components.
• Not suited for separating very long boards beyond its maximum separation length (450 mm) unless using a larger variant.
