The Maestro 5L is a motor-driven automatic separator for pre-scored PCBs. It separates boards along pre-scored grooves (component or solder side), making it ideal when you have large quantities of milled or scored panels.
It can handle PCB panels up to 310 mm in width. The machine supports simultaneous separation of up to ~15 boards arranged next to each other.
The separation speed is adjustable in 10 increments, from 100 mm/s up to 220 mm/s. This allows balancing speed vs control depending on board quality, component density, and scoring precision.
The machine requires a residual off-cut width of at least 3 mm. After separation, the external dimensions of the PCB typically increase only by about 0.1-0.2 mm, making for very precise separation.
The cutter uses hardened, ground, titanium-coated circular blades mounted on precisely manufactured blade shafts. These materials and finishes are chosen for long service life and consistent cut quality. Blade shaft configuration (number of blades) is adapted to the PCB type (groove layout).
It has a built-in conveyor belt to receive separated panels, and a SMEMA interface for start/stop and handover to upstream/downstream equipment. Sensors monitor board presence, accumulation, and detect jams. The base frame is height-adjustable for alignment.
