The Aqueous LDO stencil washer utilises precisely controlled sound waves to remove un-reflowed solder paste from stencils, screens and misprints. At 40 kHz, the ultrasonic energy is gentle enough not to damage delicate parts yet is highly effective in the removal of dried pastes on fine-pitch stencils.
The built-in ultrasonic “sweep” generator oscillates the cleaning frequency between 37 kHz and 43 kHz, preventing damage to wire bonds and other delicate devices.
StencilWasher LDO is capable of cleaning stencils or misprints up to 29″ x 29″ in size (full immersion).

The StencilWasher LDO uses ultrasonic cleaning to remove solder paste and misprints from stencils, screens and assemblies. Using DI water for the rinse stage ensures minimal ionic contamination, no mineral deposits and optimal cleanliness of stencil apertures. In high-reliability production, DI-water prevents residual ions or film buildup that could affect solder quality, allowing the machine’s closed-loop filtration and rinse system to deliver consistent results.
The machine is capable of full immersion cleaning of stencils or mis-prints up to 29″ × 29″ (736.6 mm × 736.6 mm) in size. When processing large formats, the rinse water quality becomes more critical: DI water helps ensure even large-area stencils are free of mineral traces or particulate and meet cleanliness standards across the full surface.
The LDO model is designed for cycle times averaging less than five minutes for many paste types. While using DI water may not increase the wash time, it enhances the final cleanliness level and reduces rework or post-inspection time—thus improving effective throughput.
It utilises ultrasonic transducers operating around 37 – 43 kHz to sweep and break down dried solder paste and adhesives. The machine features a filtered rinse system; feeding it with DI water ensures that after ultrasonic agitation, the rinse stage doesn’t re-introduce ions or conductive residues that could compromise stencil performance.
The LDO has a rinse water filtration system housed in stainless steel, providing a low-discharge cleaning environment. For best results, supplying DI-water or a DI polishing stage to this rinse loop ensures the filtered water doesn’t carry residual conductivity, ions or minerals—thereby protecting stencil life and ensuring high cleanliness.
The system is built to remove all solder-paste types and un-cured adhesives from stencils and misprints. Even when using aqueous cleaning chemistries or detergents, the final rinsing with high-purity DI water is crucial to remove any detergent residue or ionic by-products, ensuring no post-cleaning contamination remains.
Using DI water in the rinse reduces the risk of mineral build-up on stencils, which can lead to aperture blockage, rework, or shortened stencil life. This in turn lowers maintenance frequency, filter clogging, and downtime. The LDO’s closed-loop wash and filtered rinse system already reduces operational costs; combining that with DI-water optimises long-term performance.
The StencilWasher LDO delivers consistent, repeatable cleaning of stencils and misprints, helping reduce defects and maintain yield. Its ultrasonic cleaning, closed-loop filtration and full-immersion capability (up to 29″ x 29″) make it efficient for high-mix or high-precision production. When combined with a DI-water rinse stage, the system supports stringent cleanliness requirements (such as IPC standards) for electronics, aerospace or automotive manufacturing. Manual cleaning or simpler machines often cannot match this cleanliness, repeatability and production speed.
